How do I measure my belt size?

If you do not have a current belt, you can determine your belt size by taking a tape measure and holding the start of it about 1 inch below your belly button, above you hips. Then measure the circumference of your hips. Your belt size should be around 1-2 inches longer than the size of your pants for dress and casual work belts. If you take a 33 in paints, you want a 34-35 inch long belt. Another way to measure the size of your new belt is by using your old belt. Measure from where you always buckle it to the opposite end of the strap, and record the closest size.

What are your buckles made of?

Are your buckles interchangeable?

Yes, most MBC Belts have interchangeable buckles that can be changed between leather straps. MBC interchangeable belts allow you to reduce your belts size and adjust it just right. Buckles can be changed by a hole and screw system or a holeless interchangeable system.

Do your buckles contain nickel?

Yes, some of our buckles contain nickel, but not all. Most models are manufactured with stainless steel and zinc alloy. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding which models contain nickel at support@modernbeltco.com.

My belt is too long, how do I shorten it?

We recommend taking you belt to your local cobbler. It is also recommended to avoid gouging a hole in your belt in order to make it fit. If you belt contains a screw approximately one inch from the buckle on the strap, your belt is an interchangeable hole and screw system. You can change the size of this belt by removing the screw from the belt and trimming the belt (a stronger cutting device than regular scissors is recommended). Insert a new hole with a leather punch, power drill, or lastly by punching a hole through. Insert the new hole approximately one inch in from the end of the cut in the middle of the belt width. If there is no screw located next to the buckle on your belt, your belt is an interchangeable holeless system. You can change the size of this belt by opening clasps on the backside of the buckle, trimming your belt (a stronger cutting device than scissors is recommended), and then re-inserting the belt into and tightening the clasps.

What is a casual belt type?

A casual belt leather is usually matte and rugged. Casual work belts and everyday belts are broader, tougher, and stiffer than leather dress belts. A casual belt type can have most buckles as long as it matches the style of the outfit.

How can I track my order?

After you have placed your order and received your confirmation email. A separate email will be sent for shipping confirmation with your order's tracking number. If it has been longer than two business days since you placed your order and you have not yet received a tracking number, we encourage you to contact us at support@modernbelco.com and we'll be quick to assist you!

When will my order ship?

If you made your purchase Monday - Friday before 12:00 PM EST your order will ship out the same day or the next day. If you have purchased after 12 PM EST your order will be shipped the following business day. Otherwise, if you purchased during Saturday or Sunday or a holiday your order will not be shipped until the next business day.

All orders will ship within 1-2 business days unless otherwise stated.

What happens after I place an order?

After you have placed your order you will receive an order confirmation via e-mail. You can keep tracking of your order status by creating an account. After your order status has changed to "shipped" you will receive an e-mail notification with a tracking number.

How do I change something in my order?

How long until my order arrives?

Delivery times will vary due to shipping option choosen at checkout. Complementary shipping ships in 2-5 business days after the order has been processed. Priority shipping ships in 1-3 business days after the order has been processed. International shipping times will vary.*

Can you require my order to have a signature?

Yes, you have the option for your order to require an authorized signature and be delivered while you are home. In order to add-on a shipping service such as "Signature Required" contact us before placing your order!

Do you offer International Shipping?

Yes, Modern Belt Co. has customers in countries all over the world. We take pride in sending our products to many countries and most places that have an address or P.O. box. The shipping rate is provided at checkout for International Orders. Although, the shipping rate we provide does not include potential charges from customs. Your local government may charge a VAT and/or customs duties in addition to our international shipping rate. The support team here at MBC looks forward to answering any questions you may have. How long do international orders take to ship?

When placing an order internationally please allow 1-4 weeks until you receive your MBC accessory. We'll provide you with the tracking information within 1-2 business days after you have placed your order. After the order has been processed you will receive a "shipped" notification via email that will include your tracking number. After your order has been shipped MBC is no longer responsible for any losses or damages. It is the client's responsibility to stay up to date on the tracking information and contact your local carrier or the United States Postal Service to monitor your order's delivery. The team at MBC will do our best to help you try to recover a lost item, but cannot offer a replacement or refund if the item is not returned successfully. Will I have to pay international taxes and duties?

Though we provide you a shipping cost at checkout, your international order may be subject to import duties and taxes. Import taxes, VAT, duties or fees charged by your local customs authority are out of our control and are levied once a shipment reaches your country. It is strongly recommended to contact your customs office for specific amounts and percentages. Modern Belt Co. is not responsible for any import duties or taxes applied to your order. What is your return policy?

MBC allows returns within 30 days of delivery for a full refund under certain conditions. All returns must be sent back within 30 days of original purchase date, purchased directly from the Modern Belt Co. website, and be in unused and re-sellable condition. If the product being returned is damaged or altered it may not be accepted and sent back to the customer. If the order is domestic and result of an erorr on our end we will also pay the return shipping cost (e.g. incorrect belt size or defective item). Accommodations can be made for gifts.

How do I return an item?

If you need to return an item that you purchased from the Modern Belt Co. website contact us via email at support@modernbeltco.com. Items that are unworn, unsoiled, and in re-sellable condition may be returned. In the email subject please provide the reason for return and the original order number.

How long until I receive my refund?

The time a refund takes to appear in your bank account is ten to fifteen business days. After we have received the returned item(s) and process your return we will promptly refund you. Please allow your bank and/or financial institution 5-10 business days to process our refund request. Typically, you should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of us receiving the return.

What is your warranty?

Modern Belt Co. stands by all the products originally sold from the Modern Belt Co. website for 24 months after the original purchase date. Our warranty policy does not cover normal wear and tear, batteries, water damage, theft, accidental glass damage, scratches, or strap damage.

Where's my tracking number?

After your order status has changed to "shipped" you will be sent a shipping confirmation via email. This email should contain your order's tracking number with it. For International Shipping it may take a few days after your order status has changed to "shipped" and you have received a shipping confirmation email until your tracking number becomes active.

What does the order status "unfulfilled" mean?

The order status "unfulfilled" means we have received your order, but it has not been processed yet. Please allow for 1-2 business days until we process your order and your order status changes to "Shipped". The following are our best options for larger heads: - MBC Gold Blackout: this model fits great for a person with a larger head, the frame is much bulkier and the lenses larger than the normal pair of Aviator Sunglasses. - MBC Frameless Bamboo Series: made with a one-piece frameless lense, the width of the lenses extends the whole width, and as a result appears larger to the eye due to its design. This model has spring loaded hinges that extend in both directions to allow for users with larger heads. - MBC Wood Series and Bamboo Series: features elegant solid wood arms with thick, stylish temple pieces. Crazy Horse Leather is a unique kind of leather that sets itself above other leathers. Made from full grain cowhide leather, a high quality that withstands years of daily use.
